Nann Adimai Illai (English: I am not a slave) is a 1986 Tamil romantic drama film directed by Dwarakish.[1] The film starred Rajinikanth and Sridevi in the lead roles. [2][3][4]

This was the last Tamil film for actress Sridevi in 1980s who then concentrated on her Bollywood career.[5] She returned to Tamil films in 2012 through movie English Vinglish.[6] Nann Adimai Illai ran for 75 days in all major cities and was a moderate success at the box office.[5][7]

The film was a remake Dwarkish's hit Kannada movie Nee Bareda Kadambari (1985) starring Vishnuvardhan which itself was a remake of the Hindi film Pyar Jhukta Nahin (1985) starring Mithun Chakraborty which was also remade in Telugu as Pachani Kapuram (1985) starring Krishna and Sridevi.
